Kojima just confirmed that the next major release will be called Metal Gear Solid Rising, and that development is currently underway for Xbox 360.

so does PS3 get MGS 5 and we get MGS Rising.... or does PS3 get rising as well and we get MGS 5 when it comes out too?

It was almost a great announcement. Metal Gear comes to XBOX360... but it's not MGS4.. and it's Raiden. =/ I was pretty underwhelmed with Microsoft's announcements this year.
Yeah, not that happy about Raiden, I didn't like playing him in MGS 2 either. I was hoping for MGS 4 at least so I could continue Solid Snake's story to the end.
I hope at least they include a DVD telling what happened in MGS 4 if they will not release it for the Xbox 360.
I don't mind if MGS 5 is on the Ps 3 also, fine with me for those who bought that system for that game shouldn't get abandoned as well.

Im sure Sony will continue to get MGS games... the question is will 360 get them as well or is Rising it for 360? Will Ps3 get MGS 5 and we get Rising 2? or will PS3 get MGS 5 and xbox get it as well?

I'll be looking forward to seeing the rest of the MGS games coming to the 360 since Kojima himself said the franchise will be coming to the 360. Definitely am glad to see myself playing as Raiden since he went pretty much Gurren-Lagann-level EPIC in MGS4 with all the badassery he was showcasing in it.
A video game that allows me to play as him when he's all suped up and taking names is nothing short of awesome.
I'm definitely one very happy MGS gamer right now.
